A Working Dream.
Sun 23 Nov 2003 - 17:40

“Honey and the Moon” by Joseph Arthur… “Don’t know why I’m still afraid. If you weren’t real I would make you up. Now…”

I’d been dreaming vividly the past few days. 2 nights ago I had a dream seemingly disparate to real life and I found in my waking hours later that it had come true. Last night I had a different kind of dream for once. It wasn’t a mundane tale of everyday life. It didn’t feature strangers’ faces, but instead, faces of people I knew. The dream unfolded and showed me a short day of a life that I don’t have, but one that I yearn for. It was beautiful and perfect. It really was all those things that people say are the stuff of dreams and needless to say, I was gutted when I woke up. As today now draws towards its end I have found that the dream last night didn’t come true, which I had expected.

Dreams are not things of leisure. They are things of work and thus require some time to make them happen. In some cases they also require a lot of effort, which is why some dreams don’t happen overnight.

Anyway, I’ll be tuning in again tonight to see what else could be new in my life.

I had a dream the other week that I was hanging out with the Cheeky Girls. Never came true, sigh, never came true.

I’ve had my share of odd dreams this week too. The settings would’ve been perfect except I found myself accompanied with people I’d rather not associate with in real life.

Mal says:

I forgot to quote Daria, “How come even in my dreams everyone is a jerk?”

:)

Woodbine: LOL, dream on, pal. Yeah, I’ve heard “Evidence” but it’s not grown on my cup of tea. I prefer “Innocent World” and “September Baby” off that same LP.

Mal: Heya! It’s great to see you’re back from hiatus and back to your blogging ways. Haha, also reminds me of one of my fave Daria quotes: “Computers are a great way to meet people you would find revolting in person.”
